[That huge head certainly seems intent on nuzzling her good and proper. Huh, turns out there is something that can melt a Beifong Iceberg. Even Lin had bent a little.]

A while. Couldn't bring people from home, but...well.

[ Of all the Beifong's Korra's met, Toph may very well be the one most open to having fun. Even in her older age. But this girl? She's still a young teen... as hard as it is to imagine sometimes.

She likes to play pranks and laugh and have fun just as much as the next kid, even after finishing off a war. Maybe especially after. ]

Probably better not to. But Naga's nice!

Yep. Found each other when we were very little. First polar bear dog in history to ever be tamed.

[ Excuse her, she's busy mock-wrestling the polarbeardog. ]

I haven't been around in a while but... What have you been up to, anyway? It gets boring here sometimes.

Keeping to myself, really. It's weird, in a way. I'm still the Avatar yet...not.

[She sits, cross-legged, on the floor, leaning back on her hands.]

So I'm training again. A lot. I lost a lot of my physical strength after...well, a rather nasty incident you ended up helping with, after. Trying to get some of it back.

Oh. Right.

[ She lets out a huff. There's been a few unfun events lately around this place. The 'glitches' are perhaps the least of her worries, half of them she can't even see. ]

How's your bending coming along, anyway? Managed to get it all back?

I hadn't really tried, if I'm honest. I've got my airbending and waterbending...and with you and the firebenders around...figured it wasn't all that necessary.

[The pause after she says that already says she has reconsidered.]

But...I dunno. Now I'm feeling it's...well, like things are changing.

[ The Naga ruffling continues, but slower now. Tophs finding a spot to get comfy and lean into the fluff. ]

Yeah?

Changing how?

[And she'll settle in against Naga's side, with a huff of air.]

I don't know. Just a feeling. Like we're in the quiet before the storm bit.

[ There's something funny about it, at least to Toph. ]

We've BOTH been here too long. Whenever it's quiet it usually means somethings coming.
Has it been a month yet? That's about when stuff happens.

I think it's more we've both been in too many Huge Stakes Fights, but...yeah. Yeah, you're right.

[She relaxes a bit, reaching over her head to pet Naga.]

[ Toph lets out a huff, then falls back into the polar-dog's fluff with a lazy slump. ]

It's hard to go from fighting in a war to... just, sitting around waiting.

I'd like at least a little less war.

Maybe some brush conflicts, little ones.

I just want more benders or something around. What's the point of being the worlds best metalbender if I cant even show off to anyone! They all just think it's magic!

[ She throws up her hands in exasperation, then falls backwards. ]

Ugh, yes, with the whole magic thing. They do not understand chi, or energy flow or anything.

[But she smiles.]

It'll be second best if and when I get my earthbending back.

[In teasing voice.]

[ She gives a playful scoff back. ]

This has been nice though. Got any plans for the rest of the day?

Not a one. Which is weird to say, as an Avatar. How 'bout you?

Nah, totally bored. And Free.

[ She shrugs, kicking back with a lazy lean. Looks like she's imposing on Korra today. ]
