Lean. Sniff sniff sniff. She scans over the options before pointing at the reddish one.

"Whatever that is, smells good-"

And while Korra's doing that, she's nabbing a little more food, chomping away with the selfish greed of a cat. The moment of low pressure silence does give her a moment to ask, though.

"So... what's with that big dog-thing?"

With a nod, she pours out a glass. She hands it over to Catra as she responds.

"That's Naga, she's a polar bear dog. When I was still very little, I found her lost in a snowstorm. Spent the night staying warm in a shelter I built out of the snow...she's the only tame polar bear dog ever known. Avatars tend to find animal partners...and she's mine. Or I'm hers, really, it's hard to tell some days, heh."

Her tail flickers. Dog she knows, bear, kindof? all those words in combination sound a bit odd. But then, alien, what does she know?

"Pft. Right-" She's running low on questions to keep the awkward silence away, but her head nods, sipping away at the drink offered between bites. Maybe silence isn't quite so bad. Curious eyes flicker over Korra before returning to her food.

Silence can be good, and she doesn't mind it. She's learned that, over the years. But...

"Still don't know much about you," she replies, with a smile. "I'd be happy to hear more. Whatever you're willing to tell, really."

Catra's eyes flicker up to Korra's for a brief second before turning away with a guilty look like she doesn't deserve the smile.

"You never asked... There's not much good to say." Her bratty independent act isn't holding up. She's never been good at talking about herself.

"I don't even know what to tell you-" The basics, maybe? "I'm from a planet called Etheria, and spent my life growing up in the Horde army."

"Hey," she says, reaching out a hand to - if allowed - touch her shoulder.

"Good or bad, it's you, and that's the person I'm trying to get to know. So. Etheria. The Horde. Got that so far. Doesn't sound like a fun way to grow up?"

Catra flinches, leaning back slightly before the tension in her shoulders fades. It's a sign of something, maybe trust, that she lets Korra leave her hand there. A mix of that body-suit she tends to prefer and the surprisingly soft fluff of her shoulder.

"... It's the only one I know, so hard to say. The Horde wasn't that bad, alone. It's just an army. We have food, shelter, beds." Her ears fold back, slowly sinking down as she finishes off her food. NOW she's avoiding eye contact. "Hordak's bad, but he's just your average angry leader. Shadow Weaver, though... I think she made it her life goal to try and make me miserable."
